Alice Ruth Mann

December 18, 1933 — June 7, 2022

Alice Ruth Mann, 88, born in Floydada, Texas, passed from this earthly life to eternal life in heaven or “Glory” as she loved to proclaim it, on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Alice Ruth was born to Lou Ellen and James Ernest Jones on December 18, 1933.  She married Jackie Eugene Mann on June 10, 1951, in Decatur, Texas.  Ruth became a member of First Baptist Church, Mineral Wells, Texas when she and her family moved to Mineral Wells in 1971.  Ruth was a member of the church choir for many years and loved her Sunday School Class and each of the members.

Ruth was an exceptionally strong Christian woman! She was a true follower of Christ! Poor health had been an issue for the past 2 or 3 years. Unfortunately, her health declined rapidly over the past month. However, through all her poor health issues she knew where she was going and often expressed that she was ready to “go”!

People ask how can you know where you go once you die? The answer is to be sure that you have asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart, repent of your sins, develop a relationship with Jesus, and live for Him, witnessing to those who do not know Jesus! Ruth lived her life exactly that way. Always willing to share Jesus. Through this belief and faith in Jesus she KNEW where she would be once God said “well done good and faithful servant” come home!

Mother was a truly accomplished pianist. She loved music and played for many years for churches, quartet groups, soloists, and anyway that glorified God!

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Lou Ellen and Ernest Jones and her loving husband of 57 years, Jackie Eugene Mann.

Ruth is survived by her sister, Betty Wilson and husband Roy or Phoenix, Arizona, son, Jim Mann and daughter-in-law Debbie Mann of Mineral Wells, her daughter Karen Blissitte of Mineral Wells, her grandsons Scott Mann and wife Tanya of Runaway Bay, Texas and Jason Mann and wife Cait of Runaway Bay, Texas, granddaughters Alex Blissitte and fiancé Andrew Bourdon of Mineral Wells and Ali Blissitte and fiancé Justyn Lee of Mineral Wells.  Great-grandchildren, Shaylee Mann, Dylan Mann, and Dax Mann; as well as many loving relatives.
