Alton Leon Wade

Alton Leon Wade devoted Husband, Father, Pops and brother slipped into the arms of his loving God on November 16, 2021.

He was born March 5,1946 in Seymour, Texas to Alton Lee and Mildred Burdette Gillespie Wade. The family then moved to Jacksboro where he attended elementary and middle school and then to Perrin, Texas where he attended High School. 

Alton was a Natural Gas Compression mechanic for 35 plus years starting with Halliburton then hiring on with Atlas Power Inc.  He was with Atlas for 17 years until they were bought out by JW Power in 2000 and then was employed by JW for 16 years. He then became employed with Wal Mart as an Asset Protection associate.

Alton married the love of his life, Deborah Hamm, on May 24, 1981.  During their 40 years of marriage, they raised 4 beautiful children, nurtured both sets of parents and had traveled extensively.  He loved to cruise where he could eat all day!!!

He was proceeded in death by his parents, sisters Mona Lea and Mildred Pauline, mother-in-law Jewel Sims and father-in-law Oscar Hamm.

He is survived by his wife Deborah, children Sarah Wade Pool and Husband Chris of Weatherford, Texas, Christopher Wade of Roanoke, Texas, Wesley Wade and wife Christal of Weatherford, Texas and Jason Wade of Kentucky.  Grandchildren left to cherish his memory are Noah Liam Pool, Sydnee Elyse Pool, Ashley Wade, Ashlee Chavez and Husband Jonathan; great grandson Elijah Clinton Chavez. He is also survived by his Sister Roberta Wade Lewis of Richardson, Texas, sister-in-law Paula Holland and Husband Eugene of South Carolina and a multitude of extended family and friends.

Services will be Sunday November 21, 2021 at the Mineral Wells Church of God 2:00 pm.  Burial will be at Perrin Memorial Gardens. Family visitation will be Saturday November 20 6-8pm at the Baum Carlock Annex.

The family wishes to Thank Dr. Jeremy Ross, Dr. Siddiqi, Dr. Alice Ramsey, Baylor Allsaints oncology floor 7, and Renew Home Health for the care given to Alton during these last few months.
