Arveja Joanna Craver passed peacefully from this earthly realm on Monday, October 17, 2022, in Granbury, Texas at the age of 97.
Arveja was blessed with a full life of family, friends and faith. She was always surrounded by family, welcoming into her home anyone who needed a meal or even a place of sanctuary. She was generous in all that she had and never turned down the opportunity to pass down the skills she had learned throughout her life.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and quilting with family. A devoted mother, wife and caregiver, if you were blessed to be in her presence, you were guaranteed a new lesson, a hot meal and a warm smile. She shared many stories of her life as a child of the Great Depression, teaching her children and grandchildren many of the skills she learned from those challenging times. Her faith in the Lord was unwavering until her final breath, always setting the example for what a woman of Christ was like.
Arveja was a mentor and teacher to many, but a woman whose strength, love and generosity will be missed by everyone she touched.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Austin Craver, her first husband Lewis Kee; her mother, Rosa Lee Wolfe; her father, Jesse Harrison Wolfe; sister Era Wilson; brother, JL Wolfe; daughter, Louise Onstead; granddaughter, Terri Lynn Onstead; and her grandson, Brian Allen Kee.
Survivors include her sister, Margaret Leatherwood, 99 years old on November 2, 2022; daughter, Deanna Kee Cotten; son, Perry Kee and his wife Karen Wisdom; son, Dorman Kee and his wife Kerry Kee; grandchildren, Tedde, Nikki, Jarod, Justin, Kenneth, Angela, Katy and Dustin; 22 great-grandchildren; and 8 great great-grandchildren.
