Betty Jean Coleman

Betty Jean Berryman Coleman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on December 4, 2023, in Granbury, Texas from complications of aspiration pneumonia, one month shy of her 93rd birthday.  Betty was born on January 6, 1931, in Brookeland, Texas to Grover and Bertie Meadows Berryman.  She was raised in east Texas where she met her husband, Charles Coleman, and it was love at first sight for both.  They were married for over 70 years, until Charles passed away in 2022.  They lived in the Houston area for 30 years before moving to Mineral Wells. Betty was a homemaker, and an avid gardener with a very green thumb.  She was always there for her family, cooking wonderful meals, sewing special dresses, acting as resident doctor, and making a pretty, comfortable home.   Betty was known for her abiding love for her husband and family.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her parents and three siblings.  Betty is survived by her four children, Cindy, Charles and wife, Kem, Steve and wife, Conni, Kathy and husband, Fred, five grandchildren, Amie, Amanda, Jeremy, Travis and Kelly; seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom miss her immensely.
