Betty Jo Trent, 89, of Lake Palo Pinto passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Palo Pinto General Hospital surrounded by family. Services will be 2 PM Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Charles Mays officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 12-2 prior to the service. Betty was born September 24, 1928 to Charlie Frank and Hattie Lee Christian Bolton in Breckenridge. The oldest of 4 siblings, she grew up in Palo Pinto County where she lived all her life. She graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1947. Betty married the love of her life Joe T. Trent Jr. on July 22, 1949 in Mineral Wells where they made their home until they retired, after which they moved to Lake Palo Pinto. Betty was a very special person, even though she never had children of her won she loved kids. She helped raise all her siblings. Her nieces and nephews loved to come spend the summer with Aunt Betty and Uncle Joe. She even raised her youngest nephew as her own. She always put others before herself and never complained or asked for anything in return. She also had a passion for water skiing and was good at it, she could slalom ski like no other. Betty is survived by her nephews: Randy McDuffee, Charlie, Kevin Lee, and Walter Joe Bolton, niece: April Post, several great-nieces and nephews, her faithful dog: Fish Hook, and many others of the Trent Family. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Francis McDuffee, brothers: Bob, Charles Wayne, and Walter Dewey Bolton, niece: Kathy Holbrook, and her beloved husband.
