Bobby Joyce Cottrell-McCaskill

Bobby Joyce Cottrell- McCaskill passed away February 19, 2022, 13 days after her 79^th birthday, after a long battle with cancer.  

Bobby was born February 6, 1943, in Gorman Texas, to Thomas J. Cottrell and Laura B. Collins Cottrell the oldest of 4 children.

Bobby will be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend. 

Bobby took pride in all she did; she was an avid gardener loving all kinds of flowers, especially old fashion roses, poppies and irises.  Bobby was also an avid produce gardener, she loved to can things she grew.  Bobby also loved to sew, she made many a western shirt and even few wedding dresses.  Bobby also traveled the world, first while her husband was in the military; she saw places like Alaska and Germany.  Later in life Bobby traveled with church groups to Michigan, and even a cruise to Mexico.  Bobby also loved a good estate and garage sale and had many of her own garage sales.  Bobby also loved to cook, during the month of December she would gather the family and make many types of Christmas candy that would be made to give as gifts.  

Bobby is survived by her husband of 54 years Charles McCaskill; daughter, Linda Gaines and husband Royce of Mineral Wells; son, Kenny T. Cogburn and wife Susie of Comanche, TX.   Grandchildren, Aarron Hagan, Troy Cogburn, Kendall Villalpando (Brant), Monica McCaskill -Muehlegger (Maxwell), Quinn McCaskill, Christopher Gaines (Carla), Tiffany Gaines, Ashley Young (Clay ), Clint Vera, (Kayla); 13 great-grandchildren; her sister, Dianne Waddell of Mineral Wells; brothers, Thomas J. Cottrell  (Marth) of Comanche TX and Ronnie Cottrell (Leslie) of Mineral Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

Bobby was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. Cottrell and Laura B. Collins Cottrell, her son Michael P. McCaskill and Longtime best friend Kay Richey. Bobby will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
