Bobby Lewis Goen

Bobby Lewis Goen, age 81, passed away at his home in the Soda Springs community on August 18, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Bobby was born in Mineral Wells, Texas on March 24, 1945, to Fred and Gladys (Lack) Goen. He married Eldonna Goen on October 19, 1968.

Bobby retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 33 years of dedicated service. He retired from the Army National Guard at 20 years with the rank of E7.

Bobby served as a deacon at the Soda Springs Baptist Church and the Millsap Baptist Church. He served for 6 years on the Millsap I.S.D. Board of Trustees.

Family was everything to Bobby, he loved them dearly. He also loved to play golf.

Bobby is survived by his wife- Eldonna Goen; daughter- Terri Moore and Ron Watson; son- Brian Goen and Sylvia; Grandchildren- Tayler Pepper, Leighten Ledesma, Ashten Pepper, Mackenzi Goen, Mikhaela Goen; great-grandchildren- Quincey Ledesma, Drayten Ledesma, Theo Pepper-Lashbrook; and brother- Curtis Goen and wife Wenda of Whitt, Texas.

Bobby was preceded by his parents and his brothers- Billy Fred Goen, David Erin Goen and Larry Jack Goen.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2026 in the Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home Chapel.
