Bonnie Jo Rucker

Bonnie Jo Harris Rucker was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Hilltop Nursing Center in Weatherford, Texas.

Bonnie was born February 11, 1933 to Jeff Albert and Myrtle Sarah Harris in Mineral Wells, Texas.

Bonnie was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. There was never any doubt how much she loved all her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to anyone and enjoyed finding out about their families. People were always commenting to us kids about “How sweet our mom was!” One of her fond memories as a young lady was working as an elevator operator at the Baker Hotel. Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother, father, 2 sisters, and husband of 70 years, Robert Edward Rucker.

She is survived by her 2 sons, David (Brenda) Rucker and Danny (Cindy) Rucker; daughter, Paula Matthews; 8 grandchildren, Mindi, Randi, Rikki, Rachel, Sarah, Jill, Clinton, and Emma; and by 13 great-grandchildren.

Bonnie will forever be remembered for all the love she gave to her family.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Dobbs Valley Cemetery.
