Cade Andrew Baum, 29, passed away on May 4, 2026. He was born on October 14, 1996, in Mineral Wells and was raised in Weatherford, where he built lifelong friendships and countless cherished memories.
Cade was the beloved son of Spencer and Melissa Baum, a cherished brother to Kahlee Baum, and a loving grandson to James and Marsha Mudd. He shared a deep and devoted love with his wife, Courtney Baum, whose life was forever intertwined with his. Cade was also dearly loved by Courtney’s family, who welcomed him as one of their own. He was a proud uncle to Evy and Laek Perkins and Adaline Curtis and treasured the role he played in their lives. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends who loved him deeply and will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Cade graduated from Weatherford High School in 2015 before attending Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2019. He later continued his education, earning a Master of Public Health in Occupational Health and Safety from Texas A&M in 2021.
Throughout his career, Cade was dedicated to his work in occupational health and safety and was proud to work for Bell Textron Inc. and Halliburton. He approached both his career and life with ambition, intelligence, and a strong work ethic.
Cade made his home in Fort Worth, where he surrounded himself with the people and passions he loved most. He had a deep love for fishing and golfing and was happiest spending time with family and friends, gaming, listening to loud music, and being with his three beloved dogs—Gilbert, Gus, and Reggie.
Above all, Cade will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, unwavering loyalty, and his ability to bring laughter and energy wherever he went. His big hugs, infectious smile, and the way he made everyone feel loved and welcome will be missed beyond words. To know Cade was to love Cade. His loss leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Rosary will be held 6 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mineral Wells. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Cade will be forever loved and never forgotten.
