Carmela Mary Dover
September 3, 1920 — March 11, 2021
Carmela Mary Dover passed away March 11, 2021. She was born at home on September 3, 1920, in Watertown Massachusetts, to Nicolas and Louise Vitale Russo. She was the oldest of 3 children. Carmela trained as a nurse upon graduating high school then served the US Army in World War II as a nurse. She retired from Nursing at Hartford Hospial in 1980.
In 1943 met Mr. Herman C Dover at Camp Gurber in Oklahoma. They were married 54 years until Mr. Dover’s sudden death in 1997.
Carmela is survived by 2 children, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 130pm, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will take place thereafter at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
