Charles (Charlie) Knight, 72, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away June 8, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Mineral Wells on November 20, 1951. He lived in various places as an adult, but the majority of his life was with his family in Mineral Wells.
As a young man, Charlie served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a soldier that would give all of his food to the orphans. While in Vietnam he lost many friends in the war.
Charles worked his way up through trucking and started his own business CK Trucking where he was very successful and retired this business in 2020.
Charles accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and the family takes comfort knowing that he is with Jesus and his family.
Charles is survived by his wife, Glinda Pendleton Knight; daughter, Tammy Benavides and husband Adrian of Dallas, TX; daughter, Stacy Vick and husband William of Elgin, OK; son, Rusty Knight and wife Dene Vick of Breckenridge, TX; daughter, Lynsie Knight of Mineral Wells, TX; stepson, Justin Haygood of Mineral Wells, TX; stepdaughter, Tenesha Braswell of Burns Flat, OK; his grandchildren: Blake Benavides, Tyler and Ethan Vick, Jordan Sturdivant and Braxton Vick, Harrison Keeton, Lainie Keeton, Breck Keeton, Camaron Vail, Ethan Perkins and Emily Perkins; numerous other extended family and friends.
Vistiation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Staggs Prairie Cemetery.
