Charles Harvey Wakefield

Charles Harvey Wakefield, 81, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022. He was born July 2, 1941, in Brownwood, Texas, to Charles Hamilton and Meriam Johnson Wakefield. Charles served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1964. He retired from Texas Power and Light after 25 years. Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Lacy Wakefield Welborn.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Wakefield; son, Alan Wakefield and wife Patricia; three granddaughters, Erika Wakefield, Victoria Novak and husband Dakota, and Erin Wakefield; great-grandson, Brock Novak; son-in-law, Mike Welborn and his son, Noah; brothers, Jack and Larry; sisters, Phyllis, Trish, and Lisa; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; and his buddies, Prince, Charlie, and Mini.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, August 1, 2022 at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lacy Wakefield Welborn RN Scholarship at Weatherford College.
