David Earl Green

August 13, 1949 — March 27, 2020

David Earl Green of Mineral Wells passed away March 27, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 70.  However, his unconditional love for family and friends and trademark stubbornness for refusing to go to the doctor will never be forgotten… Sorry Dad.

He was born on August 13, 1949 in Gainesville, Texas and was a longtime resident of Saginaw, Texas where he was employed with Cargill Flour Mill for 35 years.

His greatest accomplishments in life include his marriage to his wife Pamela in 1971 which led to him helping produce the two best children ever, Donald and April, and being baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on September 29, 2019.

David has many close friends and family including both of his sisters who decided to move and make their home in Thackerville, Oklahoma.  Of course, he never held that against them and loved them all dearly.  He was always looking for an excuse to head there for a catfish dinner and some family fun.  They will tell you there will never be anyone quite like “Uncle Bud”.

He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren who considered him to be the best PawPaw ever!

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pamela, Son Donald and wife Anita Green, Daughter April and husband Eric Sturm, two sisters, Earlene and husband Steve Shults and Marlene and husband Danny Sampson, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by parents, Earl Loyd and Rozella Green, and his beloved dog Rusty.

Graveside services are 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Ballew Springs Cemetery.
