David "Smokey" Roy Bennett

David Roy "Smokey" Bennett, Jr. passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Mineral Wells.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Poe Prairie Cemetery.

Smokey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Burke and Maxine Ashley; uncle, David Ashley; and mother-in-law, Wama Dobbs.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann Dobbs; devoted mother and father, Caroline and Gary Wells; aunts and uncles, Pat and Jim Haynes, Arlie and Vicki Ashley; numerous loving cousins; special friends, Bud Estes, Allan Pye, Rhonda Dobbs, Jeff Spendoor, Lanny Mercer, Charles Pylnad, and many more close friends.
