Derek Anderson Browning

Derek Anderson Browning, 41, passed away on April 12, 2026.

Derek was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd “Dean” Browning; his grandparents, Jack and Pauline Hicks; and Grady and Allie Browning.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Amanda Browning; his three daughters, Celes, Lexus, and Keira Browning; his mother, Trudy Browning; his brother, Jonathan Browning; and his nephew, Ethan Browning. He also leaves behind numerous cousins and many friends who were more like family.

Derek proudly served his country in the United States Army for over 10 years as an Aviation Mechanic, completing two tours in Afghanistan. His service reflected his dedication, strength, and commitment to others.

He found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. Derek loved fishing, hunting, archery, and turning wrenches. He enjoyed coaching his daughters in softball, playing video games, and most of all family game nights. Above all, Derek loved being with his family and made the most of every moment spent together.

Derek was known for his witty sense of humor and his dependable nature. He was the kind of man who would show up without hesitation, always ready to lend a hand. Selfless and driven, he never backed down from a challenge and lived life to the fullest each day.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church Mineral Wells at 2pm on Saturday April 18, 2026 with a Graveside service to follow at Woodland Park Cemetery. There will be a viewing at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells on Friday April 17, 2026 from 5pm-7pm.
