Dexter Anthony Cross, Jr.

My sweet, precious, amazing and loving son Dexter Anthony Cross, Jr. “Aka Ac3 Montana” went home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 1st, 2020.  Dexter was born on March 3rd, 1996, in Mineral Wells, to Amy Smith and Dexter Cross, Sr.

My son I will miss you and love you every day of my life. You touched so many lives with your loving heart, compassion, peacemaking spirit and your music. You touched the world my baby. I am so proud to be called your mother. I will see you again my baby.  I love you “Bubba” so very much.  

Dexter is survived by his mother, Amy Smith and fiancé Seth Schutz of Mineral Wells; father Dexter Cross, Sr. and spouse Beverly of Fort Worth; brothers, Donte Smith of Mineral Wells and Leon Cross of Fort Worth; grandmother, Ruby Diane Simmons and spouse Ralph of Mineral Wells; grandfather, Jake Davis and Spouse Diane of Mineral Wells; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins; and numerous friends that were like brothers and sisters to him. 

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leon and Ernestine Cross and maternal great grandmother, Ruby Smith. 

Dexter will be lying in state at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home starting Wednesday. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Pollard Cemetery.
