Donald Earl Grabham was born in Independence, Kansas, on June 20, 1935. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was deeply loved by his family and friends.
Don was married to his loving wife, Paula Jean Grabham, for more than 66 years. Their enduring love and devotion to one another was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Don proudly served six years in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, he worked for Phillips Components for 41 years.
A longtime resident of Mineral Wells, Don was known for his kind heart, his love of family, and his enjoyment of working in his workshop and playing computer games. He especially enjoyed family card games—and took great pleasure in beating his family whenever he could! Some of his happiest memories were made with his grandchildren, including driving them around on the tractor and spending time together outdoors.
Don loved his son, Douglas Paul Grabham, his four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy and a source of tremendous pride throughout his life.
Don and Paula were faithful members of First Christian Church for more than 50 years, where they shared their faith and became part of a loving church family.
Don went to his heavenly home on August 8, surrounded by family and friends. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, devotion, hard work, laughter, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home on Thursday, August 13, at 10:00 a.m., followed by graveside service at Indian Creek Cemetery.
