Doris Nell Wagnon Hall, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on September 26, 1935, in Graford, Texas, Doris lived a life full of love, creativity, and devotion. After graduating from Graford High School, Doris furthered her education at the Abilene Business School. She dedicated herself to being a homemaker, pouring her heart into her family and especially showcasing her incredible talent as a seamstress, crafting clothing for her two daughters that will be cherished forever. Doris had a special fondness for flowers, particularly roses, which symbolized her beauty and grace. Throughout her life, Doris found joy in the simplest of pleasures—watching Westerns and Lifetime movies, cheering passionately for the Dallas Mavericks, and proudly identifying as a Jackrabbit. Most importantly, she was a woman of deep faith, committed to her Lord Jesus Christ, her church community, and her family. Doris was married to Arthur Wagnon until his passing in 2008, and in 2013, she found love again and married Eugene Hall.
She leaves behind a rich legacy, including her husband, Eugene Hall; her daughter, Jana Hinton (Tom); son-in-law, John Brinkley; grandson, James Brinkley; stepdaughter, Lisa Moon (Johnny); stepsons, Gary Hall (Dorthy), Rodney Hall (Cindy); nieces, Beverley Coyle, Sandra Morales Lemeley, Carolyn Mahoney (Rick); as well as other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Doris was preceded in death by: her parents, Milton and Maude Stevenson McClure; her husband, Arthur Wagnon; her daughter, Clara Brinkley; brother, Edwin McClure; sister, Mary Ann McClure Gillispie; niece, Brenda Morales Crosby; and nephew, Matthew Gillispie.
A funeral service will be held in her honor at the Graford Church of Christ on November 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of this remarkable woman. Following the service, Doris will be laid to rest at Oran Cemetery, alongside her late husband Arthur.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember Doris's unwavering spirit, her laughter, and the warmth she brought into our lives. She will be missed dearly but forever remembered in our hearts.
