Drusilla Howell, 81, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas. Following an 11:00 a.m. private burial at Eastland City Cemetery, there will be a memorial service 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024 at Southside Church of Christ in Mineral Wells.
Drusilla was born March 14, 1943 in Memphis, Texas to the late Edna Lee (Hicks) Cook and Bray Hannibal Cook. She graduated from Memphis High School and Abilene Christian College with a B.S. in Chemistry.
Drusilla married David Howell, July 4, 1964 in Memphis. She was a career substitute teacher in Brazosport I.S.D. and Mineral Wells I.S.D. She had a passion for family heritage/genealogy and was active in the United Daughters of the Confederacy, proudly serving as Texas Division President.
Survivors include husband David Howell of Mineral Wells, daughter Dru Isom and husband Brent of Graham, Texas, granddaughters Hannah Isom and Olivia Isom, both of Lubbock, Texas and a brother, B.H. Cook of Memphis. Drusilla was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Debbie Cook.
