Edward "Ed" L. Pilkington

Edward “Ed” L. Pilkington passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020 at a Plano hospital. He was born June 11, 1946 in Mineral Wells. He married Ila Bagley on April 8, 1965. Ed was a good husband, father, grandfather and friend who loved his family. He enjoyed talking about his high school football days, the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Louise Mixson Pilkington and brother, Elbert “Bo” Pilkington.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ila Pilkington; son, David Pilkington and wife Lexy of Mineral Wells; daughters, Cindy Boyd and husband Tony of Mineral Wells and Beth La Fata of Ft. Davis; grandchildren, David Evans, Clara Moltz, Eddie LaFata, Raemi Fricke, Jake Pilkington, Brandon Pilkington, Sofie Pilkington, James Hornsby, Delaney Hornsby and Christina Roll; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Howard Pilkington and wife Sherry of Graham; an aunt, Mary Dunaway; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 13, 2020 at Woodland Park Cemetery.
