Felicitas Gloria Gonzalez

Felicitas Gonzalez, 71, of Mineral Wells, Texas went to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 18, 2023. She was born March 6, 1952 in Progresso, Texas.

Felicitas built a beautiful life with her amazing and caring husband Jesus Gonzalez. She had fought a very long hard battle of sickness and through it all he was by her side, every moment of the way. They were just 9 days shy of their 55th anniversary; their love is everlasting. 

People knew her as Tia Fela, but many called her mom. She was famous for her awesome tamales and delicious Mexican cookies! She enjoyed creating arts and crafts, shopping for hours, and handing down her recipes to her grandchildren. She absolutely adored quality time with her grandkids. She had a kind spirit and would help anyone in need. Her door was always open and only a phone call away. Her warm smile and precious laugh will forever be missed by every person who knew her. 

Felicitas is survived by her loving husband, Jesus Gonzalez; five children, Nancy Gonzalez, Aracely Ibarra, Adalia Davila, Jesse Gonzalez, Cesar Gonzalez; 17 grandchildren, Victoria Lopez, Venessa Valdez, Jessica Valdez, Elisa Valdez, Santiago Jr Valdez, Yessenia Mendoza, Alejandro Mendoza, Marcus Trevino, Jasmine Ibarra, Kaylee Ibarra, Daran Gonzalez, Madison Gonzalez, Liranda Gonzalez, Orisha Gonzalez, Christopher Gonzalez, Robert Gonzalez, Michael Gonzalez, and Abigail Tafolla; 5 great-grandchildren, Rosalie Gonzalez, Malia Gonzalez, Micah Lopez, Camilla Tafolla, and Sophia Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Jose Montalvo and Jesse Montalvo and her parents, Jesus and Gorgonia Contreras Gloria. 

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday with Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, May 22, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
