Frank S. “Butch” Ream, age 80, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 17, 1944 to Paul and Edna Lewis. He graduated from Wentworth Military High School in 1963 and then furthered his education at Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Missouri and obtained his associate’s degree.
He worked for Walmart in the warehouse department in Greenfield, Indiana for over ten years before retiring in 2014. Butch was a devoted parishioner of St. Michael’s Catholic Church for many years. When he took time to relax, he enjoyed watching movies. John Wayne movies were his favorites. He was also an avid history buff and especially loved studying the WWI and WWII era. Butch had a big heart and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by Angie (Jeff) Martin of Mooresville, Indiana; Joe (Kari) Sandifer of Plainfield, Indiana; Matt (Teresa) Sandifer of Cincinnati, Ohio; and their children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Edna Lewis; and lifelong friends, Ken and Sandy Sandifer.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
