Gloria Madrigal Trevino of Mineral Wells, Tx passed away on March 12, 2026, surrounded by family who meant the world to her.
Gloria's life was defined by a single, unwavering North Star: her family. To Gloria, "family" wasn't just a list of names; it was a purpose behind everything she did. She was the steady hand, the listening ear, and the heartbeat of every gathering.
Her love language was written in the kitchen. A master of craft, Gloria expressed her devotion through the food she prepared. From the rhythmic pat of her hands shaping perfectly round, homemade tortillas to the tradition and labor of love that went into her famous tamales, she cooked with a precision that only comes from decades of love. To sit at Gloria's table for one of her legendary breakfast was to know, without a doubt, that you were cherished.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Gloria was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. When she wasn't in the kitchen, Gloria could often be found with a stack of cards and a sharp eye at the bingo hall. She was the biggest cheerleader for every generation that followed her. Whether she was hosting a holiday or simply sitting in the middle of a crowded room enjoying the chaos of her children and grandchildren, she was most at peace when her house was full and her stove was warm.
Gloria is preceded in death by her daughter, Leonore Herrera, Parents Julia and Jose Madrigal, Siblings Edwardo and John Madrigal, Sally Uribe.
She is survived by her husband Esteban Trevino. Siblings Ray Madrigal, Henry Madrigal, Joe Madrigal, Jesse Madrigal, Aurora Guajardo, Josie Parrigan, Mary Moreno, and Stella Latifi. Her legacy of love lives on through her children, Stephen Trevino Jr. (Aurora), Guadalupe Tamez (Jesus), Dorothy Scott (Mike), Irene Trevino, son in law Martin Herrera. Grandchildren, Krystal Trevino, Jesus Tamez, Stephen Trevino III, Leticia Ramirez, Shelly Nonus, Elias Tamez, Abby Scott, Katy Martinez. She leaves behind a family who will forever miss the scent of her cooking, the sound of her laughter and the warmth of her heart.
Visitation and Rosary will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Monday, March 16, 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.
