Gregory Scott Tanner

Gregory "Scott" Tanner, 66, of Mineral Wells, Tx passed away on Friday May 15th, 2026 in Ft. Worth, Tx.

Scott was born the 7th of 8 siblings on September 5, 1959 to Yvonne (Steel) Tanner and Edward Brady Tanner. He was raised in Jacksboro, Tx and graduated with the class of 1978.

After graduating high school, Scott began a lifelong career in the oilfield, making many friends a long the way. In his free time he loved to go fishing and work on classic cars.Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Yvonne Tanner, and brothers Larry, Ricky, Randy, Keith, and Kevin.

He is survived by his two sons Brad Tanner and Edward Tanner. Four grandkids, Heath Tanner, Tessa Tanner, Tyler Tanner, Trey Tanner, and five great grandkids, Karter, Claire, Evelyn, Kylie, and Kaiden. As well as two sisters, Debbie Woods and Linda Cowan (Rocky).
