Guadalupe "Lupe" Rico

Guadalupe “Lupe” Rico, 82, of Santo passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020. He was born 1 of 14 children to Eusebio and Juanita Uribe Rico on July 31, 1937 in Acuna, Cd. Coahuila, Mexico. Lupe worked for Brannon Ranch for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Sonia Velazquez.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Maria Guadalupe Rico; children, Rosa Velazquez and husband Abdias, Martin Rico and wife Almeta, Aurora Garcia and husband Agustin, Lupita Masters and husband Chase Villareal, Ricardo Rico and wife Ana; son-in-law, Francisco Velazquez; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A rosary will be held 6:30 p.m., Wednesday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Mass will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 19 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with burial following at Santo North Cemetery.
