In 1960 at the age of 18, he joined the United States Army. This decision would be the doorway to proudly serving his country and the ability to travel the world. He retired after 21 years in 1981.
From there he joined his brother, Dale, and other friends in the truck driving industry. The latter part of his life was spent doing carpentry, lawncare, and other odd jobs. He was always willing to help in time of need.
In 1984 he was introduced to Debra White and her young daughter, Tammy. Henry and Debra hit it off and were married one year later, January 25, 1985. He was a devoted husband for 30 years and a committed father to Tammy until the day he died.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Debra; parents; brothers: Dale and Melvin; sisters: Love and Frances.
Survivors: Daughter, Tammy Wilson, and her husband, Matt; brothers: Jackie and Ricky; sister, Linda; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends.
