Howard Lee Crawford

Howard Lee Crawford, 74, of Lipan passed away June 4, 2024, in his sleep, after battling cancer for 9 years. He was born January 5, 1950 in Jacksboro, to the late Lewis and Helen Simpson Crawford. Howard served two years in the US Army as a medic. He loved hunting adventures with his boys, cousins, and special friends on extended hunting trips, including rattlesnake hunting. Howard was an avid Gold Prospector for over 40 years. He started with his father, Big L.D. Crawford, and has kept the interest alive. 

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Crawford; sons and daughter-in-law, LD and Amy Crawford, Brian and Joe Crawford; grandchildren, Lance Crawford, Logan Crawford and wife Bethany, Darian Crawford, Ian Crawford, and Aidan Crawford; great-granddaughter, Braelyn Pophin; the mother of his children and friend, Ingrid Crawford; step-daughter, Anne Parsons Adams and husband Richard; grandson, Corey Ploss; and grandson that he raised as a son, Caleb Parsons; brothers, Louis Crawford and wife Connie, David Crawford and wife Debbie; sisters, Kathy Young and Judy Sain and husband Ron; close cousin, Melvin Crawford; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
