Inez Wyvonne Broom

September 6, 1937 — January 27, 2022

Inez Wyvonne Broom, 84, passed away January 27, 2022, peacefully in her sleep after spending the evening with her family, friends, and her beloved dog, Candy, by her side.  Wyvonne was born on September 6, 1937 in Graford, Palo Pinto County, Texas in the home of her parents, Carl Jack Moore and Onia Inez Moore.

Wyvonne grew up in Graford and remained friends with her schoolmates until her death, even attending her most recent school reunion at the Graford Cafe this past year.  She had a vivid memory of the friends, family, and those that she came to know if her life and she could recall names, numbers, and events with great detail.  She loved re-living those memories by telling the stories of past events.  Wyvonne was a hard worker and worked many years as a waitress, a cook, and a nanny.  She also helped her husband, Lonnie, with some of his construction projects.

Wyvonne was a member of the VFW Auxillary.  She was an avid Bingo player, she loved the Dallas Cowboys, watching Tiger Woods, and her "honey boy" Blake Shelton.  Wyvonne had a spunky personality and would often "tell it like it is" but those who were close to her knew that she had a heart of gold who would help anyone that she could, even when she did not have much herself.  She had a soft spot for animals and loved her dogs like they were her children.  Wyvonne fiercely loved her children, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and she also loved the individuals that each of them married as if they were just as important and special.  She loved and protected each and every one of them.

We rejoice knowing that she is now with those she loved who have gone before her.  Her parents, Carl Jack Moore and Onia Inez Moore; her daughter, Lorinda Ann Franklin; and her son, Jesse Carlton Lemley.

Wyvonne is survived by her daughter, Janice Denise Slater and her spouse, Frank Washburn; her sister, Jackie Sharon Pemberton; her grandchildren, Jennifer Baker and her husband, Robert Baker; Krystal Graham; Michael David Franklin and his wife, Amanda Franklin; Lance Lee Lemley; and Jessica Lemley, her great-grandchildren, Alleisha Walters and her husband, Aaron Walters; Bradley Williams; Ally Brumley; Zackary Graham; Cameron Graham; Joshua Callaway; Cameron Lemley; Jayde Lemley; and Canton Lemley, her great-great grandchildren, Trey Walters; Aiden Walters; Azel Walters; Autumn Walters; and Rileigh Williams, her two nieces, and her one nephew.
