Jack Witherspoon

Jack Allan Witherspoon passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019. He was born August 26, 1937 to Theodore Roosevelt and Emily Bailey Witherspoon, in Fort Worth. Jack met the love of his life, Gloria Brown, in jr. high and they were married in 1955. He took care of her for 13 years at home when she was sick until her death in 2012. Jack was known for his gifts of smoked meats and his baked cookies. Survivors include his children, Bear Witherspoon and Jana Witherspoon; 5 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 Friday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Graveside services are 10 a.m., Saturday, October 19 at Newberry Cemetery.
