James "Jim" Homer Brown

James "Jim" Homer Brown, 90, of Mineral Wells, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025. Born in Malta, Illinois, on November 16, 1934, to William Homer and Lyla Brown.

He served two years in the United States Army. He married Patricia Smith and they had two sons. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his sons, Donald Brown and wife Vickey, and Gary Brown; grandchildren Matthew Brown and wife Bambi, Lisa Blackwell, Taylor Wallace and husband Cody; and his cherished great-grandson, Knox Wallace. He also leaves behind his siblings, Chuck Brown and Susan Sudbury.

James was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lyla Brown; brothers Ken Brown and Gene Brown; and sisters Sandra Smith and Donna Brown.

Graveside services for James will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 2, at Staggs Prairie Cemetery in Mineral Wells. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Mineral Wells Health Care for their compassionate and loving care during Jim’s time there.
