James Rowan Lawhorn, Jr.

James Lawhorn, Jr. went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 6, 2021. He was born on July 20, 1967, in Staunton, VA, to James and Audrey Lawhorn.

James loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins football team, but most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shelley Lawhorn; sons, Chris and Jacoby; granddaughters, Rilee and Madison; father, James Lawhorn, Sr.; brothers, Steve, Danny and wife Jennifer, Butch, John Almanza, and Jeff Gosa; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family on his wife’s side.

James was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lily; mother, Audrey; grandparents, Leonard and Demairise; brother, David; father and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Sandy Riley.

Visitation will be 6-8 Tuesday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Annex. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Freedom Fellowship Church. Burial will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.
