James Russell Martin

James Russell Martin, age 68, went to be with his wife in heaven on October 26, 2025.

James, who went by Russell, was born December 10, 1956 to Ivin and Beth Martin. He has 1 sister and 2 brothers. Russell grew up loving fast cars and had a knack for taking things apart and putting them back together. Russell married the love of his life, Terry McQuerry, on December 3, 1977. She already had 2 children but Russell took on the role of Dad and was the best dad ever. He spent his whole life loving and serving the Lord.

Russell is preceded in death by his wife, Terry; his dad, Ivin; a brother, Lyndell; and a grandson, Michael.

He is survived by his 2 children, Amy Ross (Gary) and Jamie Martin (Robin); grandchildren, Maegan Hull (Justin), Wendy Hull (Mike), Kenna Amburn (Dustin), Heath Isbell, Lane Martin (Emily), and Mason Martin; his mom, Beth Martin; sister, Judy Overby and brother, Preston Martin (Rhonda); and lots of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2-4 Sunday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10, Monday, November 3, 2025 at Fairview Baptist Church with interment following at Fairview Cemetery in Milsap.
