Janice Boyd

Janice Boyd, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend passed away after a short illness on June 12th, 2026. She was born on January 29th, 1951 in Atmore, Alabama. Janice was the cherished daughter of Cleo and Frances Blackmon.

Janice spent her early years in Atmore, Alabama where she was raised and surrounded by family and community. Later her family relocated to Lockport, New York, where she attended local schools and graduated from high school.

Throughout her life, Janice embraced many experiences and opportunities before beginning a dedicated career with Harrison Radiator Division, where she worked faithfully until her retirement. After retiring, she relocated to Mineral Wells, Texas, where she enjoyed the next chapter of her life. She married Johnnie Boyd on October 31st, 1976.

Janice was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Frances and Cleo Blackmon, and her brother Jerome Freeman. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Johnnie Boyd; two devoted sisters, Felicia (Matthew) Williamson and Monica (Thomas) Hall; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of loving cousins, relatives and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Janice will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday June 27th, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church. 705 S.E. 2nd Ave, Mineral Wells, Texas 76067
