Judy Elizabeth (Reeves) Savage, 73, devoted Jehovah’s Witness, passed away peacefully in her home on January 19, 2024. She was born on April 1,1950 in Levelland, Texas to Opal Faye (Wenninger) Reeves and Joe Dennie Reeves.
Judy graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1968. Soon after graduation Judy and Richard R. Savage were married and raised a family in Palo Pinto County. Judy was a caregiver and began working in healthcare at an early age. She later went to nursing school and became an LVN. She continued a career of caring for patients in home health, hospice, skilled nursing facilities and hospitals until her retirement.
Aside from her love of caring for people, Judy loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, dogs, her rose bushes, and plants and enjoyed sewing. Judy loved her grandchildren immensely.
Preceded in death by her mother Opal Faye (Wenninger) Blue, Father Joe Dennie Reeves, and her brothers Richard Hal (Pete) Pippin and Homer Reeves.
Survivors include her two sons Richard Paul Savage and wife Shannon, Mark Ryan Savage, and their father Richard Roy Savage. Grandchildren Mark Aaron Savage and Megan Savage. Judy also leaves behind two sisters, two brothers and their families, Lois Abney (David), Sharon Abney, Henry Reeves and Joe D Reeves, Jr.
Viewing will be Friday, January 26th from 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral home in Mineral Wells on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 2pm. Graveside services will follow at Palo Pinto Cemetery.
