Keith E. Wilson

Keith Earlin Wilson, 70, of Mineral Wells, Texas, passed away on July 8, 2026. A memorial service celebrating Keith’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells, Texas.

Keith was born on December 26, 1955, in Pahokee, Florida, to Betty Dene Cogdill Wilson and Earlin Homer Wilson. At a young age, his father was stationed in Ethiopia, and the family moved there, where Keith spent five memorable years. He often spoke fondly of his time in Ethiopia, sharing stories of his adventures and the many experiences that shaped his childhood. Those years held a special place in his heart and provided him with a lifetime of cherished memories.

After returning to the United States, Keith spent his childhood in Dade City, Florida, before moving to Texas during his high school years. In 1976, Keith married the love of his life and soulmate, Karen Sue Walker. They shared 15 wonderful years of marriage until Karen's passing in 1992. For the past 25 years, Keith shared his life with his loving partner, Paralee Lorene Cox.

Keith was a welder by trade and took great pride in his work. He also owned a baseball card shop. He volunteered as a Pee Wee football coach and loved horses, western shows, movies and his two furry babies, Hagar and Princess. He also enjoyed studying the Bible and enjoyed all kinds of music.

Keith proudly served in the National Guard and often spoke with great pride about being sworn into service alongside his father, Earlin. He was a man with a larger-than-life personality who never met a stranger. Whether telling one of his unforgettable stories or making those around him laugh, Keith left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His generous spirit, sense of humor, and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Keith is survived by his mother, Betty Dene Cogdill Wilson; his loving partner, Paralee Lorene Cox; his sister, Debra Moss and her husband, Charles; his brother, Richard Wilson; his sons, Keith Wilson Jr. and his wife, Crystal, and Kurt Wilson and his wife, Tasha; his stepson, Tony Cox; his stepdaughter, Mariah Cox; his granddaughters, Arya, Leia, Layla, and Leyanna Wilson; his grandsons, Ledger Wilson, Tyler Patterson and his wife, Kelsie, Raydyn Yanez, Elijah Gonzales, and Dominic Gonzales; his great-grandsons, Brently and Paxton Patterson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Keith was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Sue Wilson; his father, Earlin Homer Wilson; his brother, Wesley Wilson; and his sisters, Rebecca Wells, Frances Nations, and Linda Porter.

Keith's stories, laughter, and larger-than-life spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he will be greatly missed, his memory will continue to bring smiles, comfort, and cherished memories for years to come.
