Larry Kelley

Larry Alton Kelley, also known by many as Honey, was called to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 5, 2019. Larry passed away at home surrounded by family after a battle with spinal and bone cancer. Larry was born on February 3, 1947 in Graford to Violet and Alton Kelley. He graduated from Graford High School and then enlisted in the Army, where he served in the Vietnam War. Once he was home from the Army, he worked at the family business, Kelley Gulf Station. He also drove a truck for Lisa Motor Lines and F.F.E. He retired from Mrs. Bairds Bread. Larry was an avid fisherman and loved spending time on the boat or down at the docks fishing. His most prized possession was his family and he loved spending time with them whenever he could. He was a true man of God. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruthie Kelley of Possum Kingdom Lake, his mother Violet Kelley of Mineral Wells, Mother-n-Law Bobbie Woods, Daughter Khisha Harris and husband Leon of Fort Worth, Four Grandchildren, Lasha, Lizabeth, Joshua and Larrissa of Fort Worth. One Step-daughter Tamara Hardy and grandchildren, Tracey, Linda, Chase, Eian, Lilly, Cody and Kayla and two great-grandchildren. His brothers Allan and wife Kay Kelley of Mineral Wells, and Rickey and wife Lydia Kelley of Possum Kingdom Lake. Special Brother-N-Law Buddy Moser and many nieces, nephews and friends. Larry is preceded in death by his late wife, Vickie Kelley and infant son, late mother and father-n-law Betty and Johnny Chandler, his father Alton Kelley, sisters Judy King and Donna Mussey and brother David Kelley. Funeral Services will be at 2:00P.M., Friday, May 10th at Country Fellowship Church and laid to rest in the Graford Cemetery. Family visitation will be Thursday, May 9th from 6-8pm at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund. One of the last request's Larry made was for family and friends to plant rose bushes of all colors at his home in their rose garden, in his memory, so his loving wife would have something beautiful to look at and remember him by.
