Larry Steve Smith

Larry Steve Smith lost his battle with cancer on March 14, 2021. He was born March 30, 1955 to Gordon and Lola Smith, the 13th of 15 children. The number 13 was always a lucky for him.

Larry and Sherry married in May of 1994. Larry was a strong, big hearted man that never met a stranger and was always willing to help others. He was a pee wee football coach and his son, Christopher, was the manager for the team. Larry liked football, baseball, and going fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry; daughters, Shannon Piper, Jennifer Piper, and Brandee Schulte and husband Casey; grandsons, Zeth Schulte and Sylas Schulte; brothers, Milton Smith and wife Tjwannah, Jerry Smith and Buford Smith; sisters, Billie Howard, Patricia Brown and husband Jim, Debbie Lack and husband Larry, Sherry Robertson, and Loretta Davis; numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Smith; parents, Gordon and Lola Smith; brothers, Clyde Smith, Loyd Smith, Marvin Smith, Carl Smith, and John Tom Smith; and sister, Melinda Smith.

There will be an open viewing at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home Wednesday from 10 – 8 p.m. Graveside services will be at Staggs Prairie Cemetery at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 18, 2021.
