Laura Marie Pullum

Laura Marie Pullum, 83, of Mineral Wells died August 5, 2022.  Laura was born October 21, 1938 in Gilliland, Texas.  She was one of seven children born to Eldon Louie and Era (Beesinger) Perry.

She married Billy Joe Pullum on April 14, 1956 in Miami, Arizona.

Laura retired from the McAlester, Oklahoma Health Department in 1996 after 20 years of service.  After retirement, Laura and her husband Bill spent much of their time traveling in their motorhome visiting family and friends and wintering in southern Texas. 

Laura was a member of the Church of Christ, a loving wife of 63 years and a devoted mother to her two sons.  She will be remembered for her warm smile, her laugh and her generous nature.  She dedicated her time and energy to the church, striving to be a good Christian by living her life in a manner that has influenced many others.

She is survived by her two sons, Warren of Mineral Wells and Carl and his wife Pat of Rogers, Arkansas, sister Gladys Mainard and long-time friend, neighbor and brother-in-law George Turner both of Mineral Wells as well as numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Mary ‘Sis’ Allen, Lera ‘Lee’ Turner and brothers Jake, Larry and Eldon ‘Lynn’ Perry.

Graveside services were at the Woodland Park Cemetery in Mineral Wells on August 12 with Donnie Cole of Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home officiating.
