Lester Bivins, Sr

Lester Bivins (Luther Lester Bivins), 73, of Mineral Wells, Tx, passed away on January 19, 2022 at home with his wife of 53 years by his side. Lester was born on September 2, 1948 to Orville and Edna Bivins in Prague, OK.

In 1968, Lester met Thelma in Monohans, Tx. They were wed April 1, 1969 (April Fool’s Day). They often joked that one day they would claim it was all an April Fool’s joke. They went on to have 4 children Sherry, Donnie, Tammy and Lester Jr. Lester worked most of his life in the oilfield, which required frequent moving, in his later working years he drove a big rig. He loved his truck and he enjoyed taking Rowdy and Pretty Boy with him, wherever he went. He loved camping, boating, fishing, riding his Harley, and spending time with his friends and family. Lester was a long-standing member of The Last Few MC, where he made lots of memories and gained so many lifelong Brothers. LFFFLF.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Edna Bivins; siblings: Gene Bivins, Kenneth Bivins, Richard Bivins, Jerry Bivins, Naomi Burns, and Viola Hobbs; and son, Lester Bivins, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Bivins; children, Sherry Guynup and husband Robert, Donnie Bivins and wife Amanda, Tammy Spillman and husband Kenny; grandchildren, Brenna Zickel, Robert Gatlin-Bivins, Dana Jernigan and husband Johnathan, Wayland Bivins and wife Lindsay, Shelby Parris and husband JC; great grandchildren, Liam Bivins, Robert Bivins Jr, Olivia Zickel, Derick Bivins, Rowan Mullen, Greyson Mullen, Marcilyn Bivins, and Skyla Parris.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, January 21^st at Baum-Carlock Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Mineral Wells Church of God, 2501 SE 14^th Ave, Mineral Wells, Tx with burial following at Woodland Park Cemetery. Remberance/Celebration of life at same church following graveside services.
