Linda Burns passed away on December 31, 2025, leaving behind a legacy defined by kindness, love, and a truly sweet spirit. Born on January 6, 1957, Linda lived a life centered on caring for others and creating a home filled with warmth and compassion.
She was known for her gentle heart and genuine kindness—qualities that made everyone feel welcome and loved in her presence. Family was the center of Linda’s world. She deeply valued her loved ones and found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Linda’s love was steady, unconditional, and enduring. She leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever and a family who will continue to carry her spirit forward through love, laughter, and togetherness.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Narvestor Joseph Burns Sr. and Lovie Jean Burns and her brother Jeffrey Burns.
Linda’s legacy will live on through her beloved children and grandchildren. She is survived by the following family: her children, LaToya Minter, Michael Burns, Tina Burns and Sean Burns; her son in law Freddy Minter and her daughter in law Ashlye Burns; her grandchildren, Erika, Duke, Kaliyah, Hailey, Jhayden, Lovie, Mason, Keighley, Cassious, Dziyaa, Kyron and Kiara; her great grandchildren A’Skyri, Aubri and Averi; her siblings, Narvestor J. Burns, Jr., Patricia Burns-Pickens, Rodney Burns, Kenneth Burns, Jo Ann Burns and Douglas Burns and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church.
