Louise (Dudley) Short

Louise Short passed away on June 7, 2025. She was born on September 20, 1938 to Elmer and Estelle (Hess) Dudley. She later married Lonnie Short October 26, 1953 in Pecos, TX and had 4 sons.

She worked several years for the Gibsons Discount Store and the local Antique Mall in Mineral Wells, TX. She had been a longtime resident of Perrin and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband: Lonnie Short; brothers: Barney Dudley (Sherry) and Truman Dudley; son: Larry Short; granddaughter: Stacy Short.

She was survived by sons: Gary Short (Nancy), Ronnie Short (Carla), Jerry Short (Karen); grandchildren: Amanda Lockwood, Jennifer Short, Michael Short, Lonnie Short, Chrissy Shubert, Chet Short, Latisha Lopez, Jackie Owen, Ronnie Short, Heather Short, Brandon Edwards; and several great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Perrin Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chet Short, Ronnie Short, Gixxer Patterson, Gabe Tovar, Brandon Edwards, and Pat Patterson.
