Maria Perez Collaso

Maria Perez Collaso passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at her home. She was born November 22, 1937 in Levelland, Texas to Phillip Perez and Olivia Rivas. Maria was sweet, strong, and loving. She loved her grandkids to pieces. Maria was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Collaso; grandson, Michael Peralez; mother, Olivia Vela; and sister, Augrelia Newberry.

Survivors include her children, Lorene Brown and husband Nathan, Lucy Bennett, Rose Whisman and husband Brack, Hismael Valley, Manuel Valley, Martin Valley and wife Selena; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Lucy Valtiera, Sepherano Perez, Lindo Perez, Petra Guerra, Joe Perez, Chewy Perez; and numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 Friday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Woodland Park Cemetery.
