Mary Janice Bennie

Mary Janice Bennie, 83, passed away January 7, 2023. She was born June 5, 1939 in Nugent, Texas. Mary was always taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her meringue pie. Mary was a member of the Southside Church of Christ and past member and president of PSI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruel and Fern Higgs Reynolds; twin sister, Janell Cochran; sister, Meta Eisenhower; and brother, Roger Reynolds.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, William Campbell Bennie, Jr.; daughter, Susan Kelly Brown; son, Mike Shannon Bennie and wife Rebecca; grandchildren, Micah Brown, Noah Brown, Rebecca Brown, Savannah Bennie and Kaytlin Bennie; sister, Willa Reynolds; brother, Roddy Reynolds; numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Southside Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.
