Melissa Ann Storm Anderson

Melissa Ann Storm Anderson passed away April 27, 2026. She was born October 23, 1956 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Wilburn Leroy Storm and Bonnie Mae Edmondson Storm. She was the second born of what would be 4 children.

From an early age Melissa enjoyed her books; always reading and obtaining as much knowledge as she could. She was a true product of her time and era, growing up in the 60’s and 70’s, she became quite the rocker and hippie. Melissa loved music as much as she loved to read. She loved rock and roll music, which would be her first true love, especially after going to her first rock concert with her sister Cindy and brother-in-law Russel Dean, to see Steppenwolf. Until the birth of her first son Shane Morse, she loved going to concerts with friends, especially her best friend and youngest sister Robin. She saw the Hotel California Tour by the Eagles and never missed a Local Black Horse concert if she could make it. She loved friends and family, always wanting to spend time with them from concerts and Thanksgivings to her Halloween/birthday parties at Arthur Ray and Cleva's house. No matter where she was, she was always laughing, making jokes, and having a good time.

After the birth of her second son Micah Morse and 30 year marriage to husband Landes she became more of a homebody. You could always find her reading or watching Jeopardy and she knew most the answers before the contestants did. She instilled her love of music, knowledge, and light heartedness in her children and nieces and nephew.

Melissa was someone you could talk to, she never judged, and on occasion would give you advice that you would carry the rest of your life. She was a friend, mother, aunt, sister, confidant, and nothing short of a blessing. The life she lived and stories she had could never fit or begin to tell the person she was, to know that you would have to of met her. Anyone who knew her wouldn’t be able to forget her. She is loved and missed very much but reunited with countless friends and family to keep her entertained or more likely her entertaining them. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Bonnie Mae and Wilburn Storm. Survivors include her husband, Landes Anderson; sons, Shane Morse and wife Ann and Micah Morse; sisters, Robin Morris and Cindy Pierce and husband Bill; brother, Jon Mark Storm; her granddaughters, Hannah Morse and partner Edward Lotz and Collete Morse; nieces, Michele Slemmons, Kindal Taylor and husband Derrick; nephews, Sam Hornbeck and Connor and Caleb Storm; great nieces and nephew Layla, Tristen Taylor, Selek and Slade Evans, Stockton, Steelie and Stylin Slemmons, and Sutton Hornbeck; great grandchildren, Brynlee Lotz; and countless other family members.
