Nancy Lee Rapp

Nancy Lee Rapp was born March 5, 1934 in Valley, IL to Edward and Ann (Rady) Waytenick. Nancy grew up in Clinton, IL. She graduated from Clinton High School, then St Mary’s College of Nursing and studied chemistry and biology at the St Bede Academy.

Nancy worked as a nurse in New York City and later as a flight attendant for Slick Airways. That job took her throughout the Pacific and she was delighted to be in Hawaii when it became our 50th state. Nancy met her husband of 26 years while serving as a nurse in Pan Am’s flight department in the California Bay Area. Nancy was married to Gerald R. Rapp October 6, 1967.

Nancy and Gerald retired in Napa, California building the Rapp Ranch. They became very involved with cutting horses through their son Phil. Nancy fervently supported the cutting horse industry. She was found cheering anywhere her family was competing. Nancy made friends everywhere she went and enjoyed the company of friends new and old during those competitions.

Nancy is survived by her children Philip, his wife Mary Ann Rapp, and grandchildren Ryan Edward and Emma Grace Rapp. Gerald R. Rapp Jr (Jay) and his wife Susan Rapp, their daughter Sydney Rapp. Margaret (Rapp) McNulty and her husband Andrew McNulty and their children Megan McNulty Cross and Brendan McNulty in addition to two great granchildren. Sisters Patricia (Waytenick) Hyduk and Janet Sue (Waytenick) Conard and daughter Lisa Michele Sparling. She is preceded in death by husband Gerald R Rapp, brother Edward Michael Waytenick and Parents Edward and Ann Waytenick.
