Newassa Johnson Ware passed away Monday, May 31, 2021. She was born February 5, 1931 in Big Springs, Texas to Harlan and Louise Castleman Johnson. Newassa married Gorman Ware March 12, 1970. She was the first woman dispatcher for Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers in 1958. Newassa was preceded in death by her son, Gary Ware; her parents, Louise and Harlan Johnson; and brother, Gerald Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Gorman Ware; children, Cindy Hamilton and husband Huelan, Brenda (Brandi) Mulliniks Rupp, Gorman Ware, Jr and wife Susan, Carla Froniewski; grandchildren, Robbie Wallace, Brian Smith, Cory Dell Wallace, Micheal Ware, Stephanie Ware, Amanda Ware, Leah Ware, Brandon Ware, and Shawn Ware, Paul Hamilton, Amy Zavala, Lisa Oglesby, Gary Froniewski; numerous great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-laws, Roy Johnson and wife Peggy, Philip Ware, Sarah Boggs and husband Don; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Mineral Wells Church of God. Burial will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.
