Norman David Eaton

Norman David Eaton passed away December 1, 2021 at his home. He was born July 21,1961 in Graham TX to Riley Dwain Eaton and Jerry Ann Pruser.  

The family lived a short time in west Texas and moved backed to Mineral Wells when Norman was a small boy. This is where Norman called home for the remainder of his life. While mainly growing up on his grandparent’s small farm, he enjoyed hunting and trapping with his best friend Curtis Price. 

He Graduated from Mineral Wells High School and went right into the work force. He landed a job at the Mineral Wells Stockyard as barn manager. This was by far his favorite job.  He’d tell stories about it right up until he passed. He eventually left the sale barn and found his way into heavy equipment operator.  He could work any equipment out there, but his favorite was the big dozers. 

Norman married the love of his life, Sissy Lyn Hale on March 21, 2014. They lived on the old home place until Norman’s passing. 

He loved his Heelers, especially Peach, but the Aussies were his babies. Paris, Kitty, Abigail and Trixie, really had his heart. He’d said many times if he’d had his wish, he would’ve had Abigail back in the day at the sale barn. 

By the grace of God, Norman had been recently saved. 

Norman is survived by wife, Sissy Lyn Eaton; stepson, Jason Smith and wife April Smith; granddaughter, Brylee and grandson Rayden. Also survived by brother, Dwain Eaton; niece Scarlett Eaton; aunt Kay Pruser Smith and uncle Fred Smith along with many cousins.  

Preceding him in death are his father, Riley Eaton; his mother, Jerry Ann Pruser; and both sets of grandparents. 

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021 at Mineral Wells Church of God with visitation 1 hour prior. Burial will follow at Willow Pond Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
