Patsy Ruth Garland

Patsy Ruth Garland passed from this life to be with her heavenly father on May 6th, 2026. Born to C.L. Lee and Ruth Cason Lee on July 29,1938 in Mineral Wells, TX. A lifelong resident of Mineral Wells attending elementary, junior high and graduating from Mineral Wells High School. On August 16, 1957, she married Charles Garland and together they celebrated 68 years of marriage. They had two sons, Greg Garland and Chris Garland. Patsy was a devoted wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially gatherings around the holidays. She was fiercely loyal to her family and serving the Lord.

Patsy was a delight to be around, lighting up every room she walked into. An ever-present smile and disposition, she made friends with those she worked with and customers who sought her out for help; spending 32 years in the banking business with City National Bank, First National Bank (Bank of America), retiring in 2004. She served her faith as a member of Mineral Wells Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth McPherson, son Chris Garland, brothers Roger Lee and Richard Lee.

She is survived by her husband Charles, son Greg and wife, Michele of Lubbock, granddaughters Keely Coke (Eric), Kelsy Hope (Jared) of Lubbock and Karly Garland of Dallas. Great grandsons Corbin Hope, Lawson Hope and great granddaughters Palmer Hope and Elliot Hope; along with several cousins and nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, May May 13, 2026 at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to Mineral Wells Church of God.
