Phyllis Jones

Phyllis Massingale Jones was born in Fort Worth, TX on March 25, 1948. She passed on November 2, 2017. Her childhood was spent on Possum Kingdom Lake, and she graduated from Graford High School in 1966. She married Randy Jones, her one true love, on August 15, 1969. They were married for 48 years, most of which was spent on their beautiful ranch in Santo. She was a dedicated employee at Antenna Products in Mineral Wells for 32 years, starting in gate assembly and rising to the position of Comptroller. She was a Rosebud in the American Rosie the Riveter Association. Her greatest joy was being Nana to her two precious granddaughters, Emma and Natalie, wife and partner to Randy, and loving Mom to Brian. Phyllis was very involved in Brian's school activities, serving as a class sponsor and School Board member for many years. She remained involved throughout Brian's high school and college years, and enjoyed their many travels, including a trip to South Africa. She loved to travel and experience new people and places. She especially enjoyed shopping for "treasures" at home and abroad. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Ruby Massingale, her infant daughter Gina Renee, brother Gary Massingale, and sister-in-law Shirley Massingale. She is survived by her husband Randy Jones, son Brian Jones, two granddaughters, Emma and Natalie Jones, all of Santo; two sisters, Gloria (John) Humphries of Loveland, Colorado, and Brenda (Gary) Bell of Brock, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved unconditionally. Graveside services will be held at New Hope Cemetery in Lone Camp, Texas, on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation is Friday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
