Raye Roland Harrah

Raye Roland Harrah, 80, peacefully went home to the Lord on Friday, January 27, 2023.  Raye was born April 4, 1942, in Mineral Wells, Texas.  He was the son of Roland Harrah and Louellen Rudder Harrah. 

He married Melba McCloud on September 6, 1973.  They made their home in Mineral Wells where Raye worked as a General Contractor for most of his life.  He enjoyed working with his hands, gardening, cooking, playing board games, and the occasional friendly game of penny poker.  He was a member of Eleventh Avenue Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela Bolton with husband Walter, of Mineral Wells; stepson, Charles Mays with wife Tamara, of Mineral Wells; and four grandsons; Devon Bolton of Fort Worth, Joshua Mays of Dallas, Jeremy Mays of Dallas, and Joseph Mays of Fort Worth.

A memorial service will be held at Eleventh Avenue Church in Mineral Wells at 2:00PM, Monday, January 30.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Eleventh Avenue Church, PO Box 473, Mineral Wells, Texas.
